After a few seasons, it’s clear: Raf Simons is pretty good at this whole bag thing, even though he had limited experience before taking the reins at Dior, and certainly not on the broad level such a brand requires.Dior Bags Fall 2014they’re the best yet, with easy riffs and luxe minimalism in the guises of Lady Dior and Diorissimo that include everything from airbrushed structures to fuzzy-striped crocodiles. The bags are bold, modern and totally beautiful.
What stood out to me the most, though, is that the collection’s handbags are just as alluring as their day bags, which is rarely the case for a brand as big as Dior. Simple envelope styles are accented with jeweled floral vines, which are just enough to make them feel like little hand-worn pieces of jewelry without detracting from the carefully executed minimalist form. Everything that happens here is totally excellent.
